Jean is married to Larry and has three sons. She has lived in Mount Isa for 37 years and successfully run her hair salon for 29 years.

Jean chairs the Beautification Committee and is the driving force behind the Family Fun Park being developed close to the Skate Park, which was another of Jean's projects.

Jean is always ready to help people and has gained the respect of all.
